Royal Ontario Museum - Daniel Libeskind
The extension of the Royal Ontario Museum was designed by Daniel Libeskind. The extension opened in June 2007. The chaotic nature of the extension is juxtaposed with the symmetrical forms of the existing heritage building. The extension provides 100,000 sq. ft. of additional exhibition space. The design won Libeskind the Award of Merit for innovative steel design.
The above is a rendering of a house that I designed and recently had approved at 349 Alison Road, Coogee. The design was recommended for approval by the council town planner and in individual planner, but was then refused at a council meeting. The design was than passed under mediation at Land & Environment Court. The dwelling is currently in construction and will be finished within the next six months.
